Product Description

Outdoor Flat Toneable Unit Tube MINI Locatable Electric Hybrid Flat Optical Fiber Cable

Compact, Durable and Flexible Fiber Optic Cable for the Last Link in Your Optical FTTx Network.

The Mini TB Flat Drop Cable offers an ideal solution for direct routing into living units for the final section of an optical network, especially in a fiber-to-the-premise (FTTx) installation. The riser-rated EZ-Bend subunit allows this cable to be installed directly from the pedestal to the indoor Optical Network Terminal (ONT) with no intermediate termination.

This capability helps to save time and money by avoiding splicing and/or termination on the outside or inside wall of a residence. The all-dielectric version of the Mini TB Flat Drop Cable also helps to save money by eliminating the need for expensive bonding or grounding. The excellent tensile strength and crush resistance make it robust enough for below-grade installation in ducts or open trenches, and also ideal for self-supporting aerial deployments.

Frequently Asked Questions

What are the primary applications for this Mini TB Flat Drop Cable?
It is primarily designed for FTTx (Fiber-to-the-Premise) installations, specifically for the final link between the distribution pedestal and the indoor Optical Network Terminal (ONT).
Does this cable support both indoor and outdoor installation?
Yes, its riser-rated EZ-Bend design allows it to be routed from outdoor pedestals directly to indoor terminals without needing intermediate termination or splicing.
What is the operating temperature range for this fiber optic cable?
The cable is designed to operate reliably in a wide temperature range from -40ºC to +70ºC, making it suitable for various environmental conditions.
Is the cable locatable for underground use?
Yes, this is a toneable/locatable version, which includes a component that allows for easy detection when buried underground in ducts or trenches.
Can this cable be used for aerial deployments?
Absolutely. Its excellent tensile strength and robust design make it ideal for self-supporting aerial deployments as well as below-grade installations.
What types of fiber cores are available?
We offer multiple fiber types including Single-mode (G.652, G.657A) and Multimode (50/125μm, 62.5/125μm) to meet different networking requirements.
