Product Description

Under water cable Long Haul Cross Ocean Communication Spiral Armored Fiber Optic marine cable Submarine Cable

Submarine power cable is a major transmission cable for carrying electric power below the surface of the water. It is also possible to use submarine power cables beneath fresh water.

The facility features a VCV line with tower height measuring more than 180 meters and a series of advanced high-voltage cable and submarine cable production equipment capable of manufacturing onshore and submarine power cable of 500KV and below. Equipment includes:

  • High-voltage cable VCV production lines (Finnish MAILLEFER)
  • High-voltage cable VCV production line (German TROESTER)
  • Medium-voltage cable CCV production Lines (Finnish MAILLEFER)
  • Frame type wire standing machine and drum twister machine (French POURTIER)

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the primary applications for these submarine cables?
These cables are primarily used for offshore wind farms, interconnecting national power grids across water bodies, and providing power supply from the mainland to isolated islands.
What is the maximum voltage capacity available?
Our advanced VCV production lines are capable of manufacturing onshore and submarine power cables rated for 500KV and below.
How is the cable protected from water ingress?
The construction includes a specialized semi-conductive waterproof strip layer and a robust lead sheath metal screen to ensure complete moisture protection under high-pressure conditions.
What international standards do your cables comply with?
The cables are designed and manufactured in accordance with IEC 60840 and CIGRE recommendations, including CIGRE 496 and CIGRE 623.
Are fiber optic elements integrated into the power cable?
Yes, the construction includes a dedicated fiber-optic element, allowing for simultaneous high-voltage power transmission and long-haul communication data transfer.
What materials are used for the cable armoring?
The cable is armored with galvanized steel wires that are filled with a bitumen compound to provide superior mechanical strength and corrosion resistance in marine environments.
