Product Information

The fibers, 200/250μm, are positioned in a loose tube made of a high modulus plastic. The tubes are filled with a water-resistant filling compound. A Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) locates in the center of core as a non-metallic strength member. The tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the strength member into a compact and circular core. After the cable core is filled with the filling compound to protect it from water ingress, the cable is completed with a PE sheath.

Features:

  • Good mechanical and temperature performance
  • High strength loose tube that is hydrolysis resistant
  • Special tube filling compound ensure a critical protection of fiber
  • Good crush ability and soft
  • Single non-metallic central strength member
  • Fully fiber filled waterproof function

Frequently Asked Questions
Q1: What are the main applications of GYFTY fiber optic cable? A1: GYFTY cable is primarily used in areas of high electromagnetic interference or where lightning protection is required, as it features a non-metallic strength member (FRP). It is suitable for duct and aerial installations.
Q2: Why is the FRP central strength member important? A2: The Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) is non-metallic, which prevents electromagnetic interference and protects the cable from lightning strikes, making it safer for specific industrial environments.
Q3: Is the cable protected against water ingress? A3: Yes, the loose tubes are filled with a water-resistant compound, and the cable core is fully filled to ensure excellent waterproof performance and moisture protection.
Q4: What is the benefit of the loose tube design? A4: The high-modulus loose tube design provides hydrolysis resistance and protects the fibers from mechanical stress and temperature fluctuations.
Q5: Can this cable withstand extreme temperatures? A5: Yes, it is designed for a wide operating temperature range from -20℃ to +60℃, ensuring stable performance in various climates.
Q6: What types of fiber can be included in the GYFTY cable? A6: It supports various fiber types including Single Mode (G.652, G.655) and Multi-Mode (50/125μm, 62.5/125μm) to meet different transmission requirements.
