GYFTY 24/48 Core Non-Metallic Non-Armored Cable Underground Duct Fiber Optic Cable

Product Description

GYFTY Stranded Loose Tube Non-metallic Non-armored Underground Duct Optical Fiber Cable
Fiber Counts: 2core - 288core
CSM (Central Strength Member): FRP
Structure: Stranded Loose Tube
Armor: Non-armored
Jacket: MDPE/HDPE/LSZH (optional)
Application

Duct Laying / Non Self-supporting Aerial Installation

The 2-288 fibers are positioned in PBT loose tubes filled with gel. Tubes (and fillers) are stranded around the non-metallic strength member (FRP) to form the cable core. Then the cable core is filled with the cable jelly to protect it from water penetration. Finally a PE jacket is extruded.

Key Features:
Good mechanical and thermal performance
FRP as the central strength member
Hydrolysis resistant loose tube
Tube filling gel ensures critical protection of fiber
Stranded compact structure eliminating contraction of tubes
Rugged, durable PE jacket protects against UV radiation, fungus etc.
Non metallic, light in weight, convenient for application with power lines and lightning-prone area.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Q1: What is GYFTY fiber optic cable?
A: GYFTY is a non-metallic, non-armored optical fiber cable designed for underground duct or aerial installations, particularly suitable for areas prone to lightning or proximity to power lines.
Q2: Why is the Central Strength Member (FRP) non-metallic?
A: FRP (Fiber Reinforced Plastic) is non-metallic to provide excellent electromagnetic interference resistance and protection against lightning strikes, making it ideal for high-voltage environments.
Q3: What are the main applications for GYFTY cables?
A: It is primarily used in duct systems and non-self-supporting aerial installations for telecommunication networks.
Q4: Is the cable protected against water penetration?
A: Yes, the cable core is filled with cable jelly and the loose tubes are gel-filled to ensure critical protection against water ingress and moisture.
Q5: What jacket materials can be selected for GYFTY?
A: We offer MDPE, HDPE, and LSZH (Low Smoke Zero Halogen) options depending on the installation requirements and safety standards.
Q6: What is the operating temperature range?
A: The cable is designed to operate and be stored reliably within a temperature range of -40ºC to +70ºC.
