Central Loose Tube Light Armored Ribbon Cable Gydxtw Optical Fiber Cable

Product Description

GYDXTW Optical Fiber Cable

The structure of GYDXTW optical cable consists of a 12-core optical fiber ribbon placed into a loose tube made of high modulus material. This tube is filled with a waterproof compound to ensure long-term stability.

The loose tube is protected by a layer of double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) longitudinal package.
Water blocking material is integrated between the steel tape and the loose tube for superior longitudinal moisture protection.
Two parallel steel wires are placed on both sides to provide excellent tensile strength.
Finished with a high-quality extruded Vinyl (PE) sheath for outdoor durability.

Frequently Asked Questions
What are the primary applications for GYDXTW cable?
GYDXTW is designed for outdoor use, specifically for aerial or duct installations where light armoring and water protection are required.
How many fibers can the GYDXTW accommodate?
This cable supports a wide range of fiber counts, typically from 2 cores up to 432 cores, utilizing efficient fiber ribbon structures.
What provides the mechanical strength in this cable?
The cable features two parallel steel wires and a corrugated steel tape (PSP) armor, providing excellent tensile strength and crush resistance.
Is the GYDXTW cable moisture-resistant?
Yes, it features a central loose tube filled with waterproof compound and additional water-blocking materials between the steel tape and the tube.
What is the operating temperature range?
The cable is engineered to perform reliably in extreme environments, with an operating temperature range of -40ºC to +70ºC.
Can the cable sheath be customized?
While standard PE sheath is common, we can design the cable specification according to specific customer requirements for different environments.
