🔍 Product Description
Round Shape Ribbon Cable GYFDTS Optical Fiber Cable with FRP Strength Member

The structure of GYFDTS optical cable is to put 4, 6, 8, 12 core optical fiber ribbons into loose tubes made of high modulus materials, and the loose tubes are filled with waterproof compounds. The center of the cable core is a glass fiber reinforced plastic (FRP). The loose tube and filling rope are twisted around the central reinforcement core to form a compact and round cable core, and the gaps in the cable core are filled with water-blocking fillers. The double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) is longitudinally wrapped and then extruded into a polyethylene sheath to form a cable.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is the main advantage of the GYFDTS ribbon cable?
The GYFDTS structure utilizes optical fiber ribbons, allowing for high fiber density in a compact round cable core, significantly simplifying the mass splicing process.
What type of strength member is used in this cable?
It uses a Glass Fiber Reinforced Plastic (FRP) central strength member, providing excellent tensile strength while remaining non-metallic and resistant to electromagnetic interference.
Can this cable be used for outdoor direct burial?
Yes, the cable is designed with double-sided plastic-coated steel tape (PSP) armor and a PE sheath, making it suitable for duct, aerial, and direct burial applications.
What is the range of fiber counts available?
We offer a wide range of fiber counts from 2 cores up to 864 cores to meet various network scale requirements.
What is the operating temperature range?
The cable is engineered to perform reliably in environments ranging from -40ºC to +70ºC.
How is the cable protected against moisture?
The cable features loose tubes filled with waterproof compounds and cable core gaps filled with water-blocking fillers to ensure longitudinal water resistance.
